Local nonprofit Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center will present an acoustic concert with acclaimed Christian music artist, Matthew West, on Thursday, September 22, at New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
The Grammy-Nominated and Dove Award winning artist will perform a collection of his Christian worship hits to benefit children at Special Kids. The concert will bring one of America's leading Christian music artists to the heart of middle Tennessee, making the event accessible for Murfreesboro residents and surrounding communities.
"We are thrilled to have Matthew West coming to Murfreesboro and partnering with us for the kids," states Stephanie Folkmann, director of development at Special Kids. "Special Kids is growing rapidly and hoping to serve over 600 children this year. The funds from this event will make a huge impact on us meeting the needs in middle Tennessee."
Preceding the concert, Special Kids will host a pre-show private dinner where guests will enjoy a delicious meal provided by Demos' and Peter D's restaurants. Guests will enjoy an intimate hour with the artist and Special Kids Staff. Doors open for the concert at 7:00pm and concert begins at 7:30pm. Tickets for the concert will be available for both general admission and premium seating.
Special kids is revamping their previous Special Kids' Annual Friendraiser Banquet event, which would have been in its 17th year. While the event traditionally hosts 500 guests, the new concert will allow over 1,500 participants to partake in the evening.
"We are excited that this event will bring more awareness to our community and have opportunity to touch more lives than ever before," states Ashley Russom, event specialist at Special Kids.
Dinner tickets are on sale for $125. Concert tickets are sold separately for $35 for general admission, $65 for premium seating. Discounts are provided for groups of 10 or more.
